Sec. 33.02.  BREACH OF COMPUTER SECURITY.  A person commits an offense if the person knowingly accesses a computer, computer network, or computer system without the effective consent of the owner.

Range of Punishment can vary depending on the specific details of the charge, the type of information that was obtained, the number of incidents and/or the monetary value involved, therefore this offense can range between a State Jail Felony to a 1st Degree Felony.
